City Manager

The City Manager is employed to serve the governing body and the citizens of Hoisington.  Having a professional manager enhances the community with the benefits of education, training and experience in administration of local government projects and programs.  Every year, the manager prepares a budget for the council's consideration, provides oversight of City operations, researches policy concerns or initiatives, and assembles a staff capable of carrying out the policies to fulfill the governing body's priorities.

The City Manager has a responsibility to serve Hoisington with integrity, honesty and respect and should adhere to the International City/County Management Association's Code of Ethics.
